Hello everyone!
I want to start off and say that the very small details are still unsure, but as far as the plan, here it is.
We will be arriving in Lima in the middle of August we will start helping "La Casa Del Padre" (The Father's House, a local church in La Molina, Lima Peru, its the church we are being sent too) August 24th, '10 is the exact date we leave for Lima! We will spend the earlier month of August finalizing things and visiting some special people here in the States before heading out.
"La Casa Del Padre" will be having a conference on September 9-11 so we will pretty much hit the ground running in late August till 2nd week of September helping them set that up, and wrapping up after. Specifics of what we will be doing from day to day in Lima are kind of hard to say right now simply because the nature of ministry is to be available to do whatever we are needed for whenever we are needed. We are ready to dig into the harvest and start helping out in the ministry in Lima, Peru.
During our stay in Lima WE WILL DEFINITELY be involved helping out regularly at a local orphanage. We understand that there are many set-ups as far as how to run an orphanage, so as we are in Lima, we are gonna learn how to run one and prepare ourself for about a year. That way, when we build ours, we would already know the laws behind it, and how to do things properly. I'm excited to learn from the orphanage in Lima, it will be a great learning experience where we hope to reproduce ourselves in that ministry. In the process of helping out an orphanage in Lima, we will be traveling to Piura very often ( which is North Peru) and trying to get all the legal work done to prepare for our orphanage that WE WILL HAVE there, as well as looking for land to build one or just a building. This will be a VERY LABORIOUS task and I ask that in this area you will definitely keep us covered in prayer, that we will be lead to the right people, and that the right doors would open. We want everything to be within God's will and plan, we don't want to move forward if he says stay, nor stay if he says move. The reason for that is, because we can't just open a building and tell the random kids to come and live with us. (Even though I would love that, because the NEED IS GREAT) We want to do things with the spirit of excellence and with-in the laws of Peru/man. We don't have an exact date when that will happen, but we know that it is all in Jesus' time, he is never late nor early and that he directs our steps. The exact time is not sure at this point how long we will stay in Lima but it will likely be 1-2 years to work with "La Casa Del Padre" and Pastor Guillermo Aguayo, we know this Pastor will help us greatly in this process,and were grateful for that.
Once we complete our time in Lima we will be moving up north to Piura, Lima. Our gears will change once we get there. Our goal in Piura is to start an orphanage (which I mentioned above) and a church with the focus of building men to lead their families in righteousness.
